Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Professional Billing Specialist to handle follow-up and denials within the Revenue Integrity team. The role supports accurate claim submission in an academic medical environment and may be filled at Level 1 or 2 depending on experience and credentials.

The ideal candidate has HIPAA awareness, basic CPT/ICD10CM knowledge, and experience with insurance company interactions. Training will occur, with shift Monday–Friday and some flexibility after training.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: At least 1 year of Medical Insurance experience.
• Certification/License: CPB required within 1 year of hire date for Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit professional claims; correct routine claim errors and rejections.
• Work assigned billing and follow-up queues in Epic.
• Apply foundational knowledge of CPT, ICD10CM, modifiers, and payer rules.
• Meet productivity, quality, and timeliness standards.
