Job summary

Digitech is a leading provider of advanced billing and technology services to the EMS transport industry. The Billing Specialist I will review PCRs for medical necessity, reasonableness, level of service, ICD10 coding and mileage accuracy, supporting the revenue cycle management process.

Responsibilities include adding data elements to accounts, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and maintaining HIPAA privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of medical billing preferred.
• Must type 35 wpm and have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Review patient records and add data elements to accounts in the billing platform.
• Ensure all tasks comply with Quick Med Claims policies and regulations.
• Meet defined productivity standards for the position.
• Notate accounts reviewed; attach necessary documentation.
• Obtain additional information from clients to submit third-party claims.
• Review and validate claims electronically or on paper.
• Monitor workflows to ensure timely validation of claims.
• Process all insurance claim forms per laws and procedures.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and confidentiality.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
