You will evaluate codes, review medical records against billing data, and ensure compliance with program standards while meeting client deadlines. Remote work options preferred, with flexible scheduling and access to a streamlined workflow portal.

Qualifications

• CPC/APCC/CMBS/DRG coder certification required.
• Payment integrity or professional bill review experience preferred.
• Remote work experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical office or health care background.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the appropriateness of codes and compliance with program standards.
• Ensures medical records match codes and obtains missing records when needed.
• Reads policy guidelines and applies healthcare terminology accurately.
• Reviews claims for conflict of interest and criteria appropriateness.
• Adheres to program timeframes and client deadlines.
• Provides quality customer service to clients with timely, error-free QA.
• Offers clinical oversight for complex cases prior to client return.
• Serves as QA backup with clinical knowledge for quality issues.
