Job summary

Dane Street is seeking coders and bill reviewers to join our team. You will review reports accompanying medical records to ensure billing and coding accuracy and meet client deadlines.

You will communicate with other reviewers and client teams to ensure clarity of information, provide QA oversight, and uphold program standards while pursuing strong growth potential. Remote work is encouraged where feasible.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPC, APCC, CMBS, or DRG coder certification.
• Payment integrity or professional bill review experience is strongly preferred.
• Out-of-network bill review experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the appropriateness of codes and whether they meet program standards.
• Ensures medical records align with codes and obtains records if needed.
• Reads and applies policy guidelines and healthcare terminology to determine criteria.
• Evaluates claims for conflicts of interest and criteria appropriateness.
• Works within program timeframes.
