Mercy Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist for a remote role, positioned within a 2-hour drive from Shepherdsville, KY. The role focuses on accurate medical coding, posting payments, and balancing accounts, with an emphasis on patient care and professional communication.

Responsibilities include posting insurance payments, resolving denials, and supporting the billing team. A high school diploma is required; a coding certificate is preferred, with at least two years of coding

Qualificações

• Must have strong phone and in-person communication
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and WC billing guidelines
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records systems
• Experience posting payments, denials, and coding
• Ability to work remotely with focus in a full-day schedule
• Prior experience handling claims and appeals

Responsabilidades

• Interact daily with patients to answer questions and collect payments
• Post insurance payments and reconcile deposits
• Assist team with billing and insurance inquiries
• Investigate and resolve denials and file appeals
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve payment issues
• Code during peak seasons
