Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of medical billing/coding experience, or
• an associate degree or coding certificate with 2 years of experience, or
• a bachelor's degree with some medical coding exposure.

Responsibilities

• Process charges from clinic and hospital EHRs using CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10.
• Follow up on unpaid insurance claims and correct denials.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and respond to patient billing inquiries.
• Prepare end-of-day AR reports and resolve COB issues with payers.
