Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Ridgeview Mental Health outpatient team in Chaska, MN. This casual position (0.0 FTE) supports providers and nursing staff, with an 8-hour day shift from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Opportunity to work both in clinic and remotely, with no weekends or holidays. The role requires completing a Medical Assistant program or equivalent, BLS certification, and relevant experience or externship hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience to meet required competencies.
• Completed a Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare education with clinical training.
• Candidates with fewer than six months of Medical Assistant experience must have completed a minimum of 160 hours of clinical externship.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and manages patient flow.
• Assists injections and procedures.
• Provides psycho-emotional support to patients.
• Collects and documents patient information in EMR.
• Coordinates test results with provider or RN.
• May cover front desk and assist with patient registration/scheduling.
