Job summary

CredSpun LLC is seeking a Medical AR Follow-Up Specialist to manage aging insurance AR and drive timely filing.

In this remote role, you will review payer portals, request records, resubmit corrected claims, and escalate near filing deadlines. Strong preference for experience with Medicare/Medicaid and multi-payer portals like Availity or Navinet. Excellent documentation and organized work habits are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of medical AR follow-up or insurance collections.
• Experience calling Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers and using their portals.
• Understanding of timely filing, corrected claims, reconsiderations and appeals.
• Ability to read an EOB and explain why a claim paid the way it did.

Responsibilities

• Work aging reports by payer and bucket to an agreed daily target.
• Check claim status through payer portals and by phone, recording reference numbers.
• Correct and resubmit claims, send records requests and file reconsiderations.
• Escalate claims near timely filing limits, with proof of timely filing where needed.
• Identify underpaid, misprocessed and bundled claims and request reprocessing.
• Recommend write-offs in writing when a balance is not worth pursuing.
• Spot patterns and report them to the account lead.
