Qualifications

• 3+ years of inpatient hospital collections experience.
• Medicaid and Managed Medicaid claims experience a plus.
• Strong understanding of hospital reimbursement and insurance claim workflows.
• Ability to explain the Medicaid billing and collections process from start to finish.
• Experience researching denials and identifying corrective actions.

Responsabilités

• Manage inpatient hospital accounts receivable from research through final resolution.
• Research high-dollar, aged, denied, and unpaid claims.
• Review claim history to identify the underlying reason for nonpayment.
• Determine the appropriate billing or collection action to resolve outstanding accounts.
• Correct and resubmit claims when necessary.
• Review payer responses and reimbursement information for accuracy.
• Navigate Medicaid payer portals and healthcare billing systems to research account status.
• Work claims independently from initial research through final resolution.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all account activity.
• Prioritize complex accounts while meeting daily productivity expectations.
• Escalate unusual reimbursement issues when additional support is required.
