Job summary

CxAlloy seeks an undergraduate mechanical/systems engineering student to help bring advanced technology into action on nationwide construction projects and commercial buildings. The role is primarily remote with occasional mentoring in Charlotte, NC, and potential full-time conversion after graduation in May 2027.

You will learn to commission complex systems, connect HVAC devices to cloud infrastructure, and develop automated testing scripts, gaining hands-on experience across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/systems engineering.
• Three or more years in higher education.
• Undergraduate student nearing graduation.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning: test large, complex mechanical systems in real-life settings.
• Mechanical Controls: learn to connect to and manipulate digital control systems for HVAC.
• Data Networking: connect HVAC devices to enterprise cloud infrastructure and networks.
• Scripting/Coding: customize automated testing scripts for HVAC devices.
