YO AI Labs seeks a Mechanical Engineering Expert to support an AI training project across design, modeling, and validation tasks. You will leverage Python for automation and apply strong mechanical analysis fundamentals.

The contractor role is fully remote with ~15 hours per week, offering flexible scheduling and international collaboration. No prior AI experience is required; solid engineering problem-solving is key.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering or BS plus 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering and simulation.
• Practical Python and tool experience for programmatic engineering workflows.
• Ability to justify material choices, loads, boundary conditions, and model fidelity.
• Ability to validate results and clearly explain engineering trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate mechanical engineering problems using design, analysis, and simulation.
• Translate requirements into analytical and computational models.
• Create and modify geometry, meshes, materials, loads, and solver inputs.
• Perform structural, thermal, dynamic, fatigue, buckling, and vibration analyses.
• Use Python to automate simulations, parameter sweeps, and post-processing.
• Analyze stress, strain, temperature, and safety factors.
• Diagnose modeling issues and verify results against calculations and experiments.
• Review AI-generated engineering solutions and develop reproducible references.
