Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert to support an AI training project. You will tackle design, modeling, simulation, and Python-driven automation of engineering analyses across structural, thermal, and multiphysics problems.

You will review results, justify material and boundary-condition choices, and help generate reproducible reference solutions. The role is contractor and remote, with flexible hours and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, heat transfer, and modeling.
• Proven ability to justify materials, loads, and boundary conditions.
• Experience validating results and communicating trade-offs clearly.

Responsibilities

• Solve and validate mechanical engineering problems involving design, analysis, and testing.
• Translate requirements into analytical and computational models.
• Create and modify geometry, meshes, materials, loads, and solver inputs.
• Perform structural, thermal, dynamic, fatigue, buckling, and vibration analyses.
• Use Python to automate simulations, parameter sweeps, optimization, and post-processing.
• Analyze stress, strain, displacement, temperature, deformation, and safety factors.
• Diagnose geometry, mesh, convergence, boundary conditions, and modeling issues.
• Compare results with calculations, experiments, and expected physical behavior.
• Review AI-generated engineering solutions and develop reproducible reference solutions.
