Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, Apprentice to join our team in a remote capacity.

This hands-on role supports field service with installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of corrugating and box-making machinery, under experienced engineers. The apprentice will gain practical experience reading drawings, performing repairs, and coordinating with on-site teams while pursuing structured training and safety-focused practices in

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and hydraulics.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Preferred: technical school or ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of corrugating/box-making machinery.
• Learn to read prints and work orders and perform component repairs.
• Participate in setup and installation with coordinations.
• Document service activities with photos and descriptions.
• Travel to customer sites and ensure safe, high-quality service.
