Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to support the planning and delivery of large-scale construction projects. You will prepare mechanical estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate contractor pricing, and support cost planning throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong estimating fundamentals, knowledge of mechanical building systems, and the ability to collaborate with project teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in mechanical estimating, preconstruction, cost management.
• Preference for candidates near San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical cost estimates for HVAC, piping, and equipment.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and BIM models.
• Develop labor, material, and equipment pricing aligned with budgets.
• Review pricing to identify gaps, risks, and value improvements.
• Support cost reviews and procurement discussions.
