Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, or related construction field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong client-facing and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of value management/value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems in construction projects.
• Review project plans and specifications to determine scope and materials.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop cost management plans.
• Analyze project requirements and provide value engineering options.
• Perform cost risk analysis and input into value engineering.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to prepare estimates.
• Provide estimating advice and analyses to project stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of estimating processes and methodologies.
• Prepare formal estimating reports with quantities, costs, escalation and clarifications.
• Assist in developing estimating standards and best practices.
