Job summary

Actalent is seeking a highly experienced remote Mechanical Engineer for a contract role. You will develop design specifications, mature concepts, support procurement, and generate drawings and documentation for nuclear-grade components.

You will interact with PMs, engineering teams, suppliers, and fabricators to ensure cost, schedule, quality, and technical accuracy. 7+ years design experience, Autodesk Inventor, and ANSYS FEA are required; BWR/PWR experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of design experience in fabrication or manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD tools.
• Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.
• Experience with large assemblies and welding.
• Proficiency with ANSYS FEA analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop design specifications and mature design concepts.
• Provide procurement support and generate drawings and documentation.
• Perform analyses, design, testing, or integration for reactor components.
• Lead and participate in teams on organizational initiatives.
