Job summary

Above Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utility systems design across projects. The role calls for an ABET-accredited degree, licensing or registration in progress, and the ability to mentor others while delivering quality engineering work.

The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, interpret codes, and apply best practices in design delivery from concept through construction administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is required.
• Current active PE license or NCEES registration is preferred.
• ABET-accredited mechanical engineering program graduate is expected.
• Experience with REVIT/AutoCAD is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and utility design efforts.
• Mentor junior staff and oversee engineering tasks from concept to construction.
• Prepare basis of design narratives and engineering reports.
• Review shop drawings and perform field verifications.
• Coordinate with project team across disciplines.
