Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to write and verify hard engineering problems for AI model training. You will derive answers, produce worked solutions, and compare model outputs to real engineering reasoning.

Responsibilities include testing problems against AI systems, refining them, and reviewing AI-generated analyses and documentation for accuracy. Collaboration with other contributors is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Fluent written English with ability to write precise problems.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics of materials, dynamics, thermodynamics.
• Experience with CAD/FEA tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write challenging, closed-ended problems from your area of expertise built for real engineering reasoning.
• Derive the correct answer, verify it, and write a worked solution.
• Test problems against AI systems and sharpen them to challenge models.
• Review AI-generated analysis and documentation for correctness.
• Review others’ problems and solutions for correctness and rigor.
