Job summary

DataAnnotation seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to craft complex, verifiable problems for AI training. You’ll derive solutions, verify them, and demonstrate how to reason through edge cases while evaluating AI-generated analyses.

Responsibilities include reviewing designs, CAD-related work, and collaborating with contributors to ensure rigor and real-world applicability. A bachelor’s in mechanical engineering is required, with 2+ years in the field.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience in any specialty.
• Fluency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, Creo, NX, CATIA, or Inventor.
• Strong fundamentals across mechanics of materials, dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and manufacturing processes.
• Able to write precise, unambiguous technical problems and worked solutions in fluent written English.
• Meticulous: check work and find edge cases that test assumptions.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field (completed or in progress).

Responsibilities

• Write challenging, closed-ended problems from your area of expertise requiring real engineering reasoning.
• Derive correct answers, verify them, and provide worked solutions.
• Test problems against AI systems and refine until they challenge the model.
• Review AI-generated analyses, designs, and technical documentation for accuracy.
• Review others’ problems and solutions for correctness and rigor.
