DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to craft verifiable engineering problems for AI training. You’ll derive and verify solutions, and challenge models by testing problems against AI systems.

You’ll also review AI-generated analyses and technical docs for real-world applicability and rigor. The role leverages your CAD expertise, fundamentals in mechanics and materials, and precise written English to define edge cases and robust solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience in any specialty.
• Proficient CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, or equivalent.
• Strong fundamentals across mechanics of materials, dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluids, and manufacturing.
• Ability to write precise, unambiguous technical problems and worked solutions in fluent written English.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Write challenging, closed-ended problems from your area of expertise.
• Derive the correct answer, verify it, and write a worked solution.
• Test your problems against AI systems and sharpen them.
• Review AI-generated engineering analysis, designs, and technical documentation for correctness.
• Review other contributors’ problems and solutions for correctness and rigor.
