Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to craft challenging AI-training problems and verify solutions with rigorous, worked explanations. You’ll draw on your CAD and mechanics expertise to create credible, verifiable scenarios and judge AI-generated analyses for real-world applicability.

Ideal candidates have strong CAD/FEA skills, a solid foundation in mechanics, and fluency in technical English.

Qualifications

2+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience in any specialty.
Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape, Creo, NX, CATIA or Inventor.
Strong fundamentals across mechanics of materials, dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics.
Ability to write precise, unambiguous technical problems and clear worked solutions in fluent written English.

Responsibilities

Write challenging, closed-ended problems from your area of expertise.
Derive the correct answer, verify it, and write a worked solution.
Test problems against AI systems and sharpen them until they challenge the model.
Review AI-generated engineering analysis, designs, and technical documentation for correctness.
Review other contributors’ problems and solutions for correctness, ambiguity, and rigor.
