Job summary

Placements24 client seeks a Mechanical Design and Development Engineer for a fully remote role. You will conceptualize, design, analyze, and prototype mechanical components and systems using advanced CAD and CAE tools, collaborating with global teams from a home office.

Candidates have a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering and 4+ years of experience. Proficiency with SolidWorks/CATIA/Inventor and ANSYS/COMSOL is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and development.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD and CAE tools (SolidWorks/CATIA/Inventor; ANSYS/COMSOL).
• Remote-work ability and strong communication skills.
• Fluent English; Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new mechanical components and systems using CAD.
• Perform FEA and CFD to validate designs and optimize performance.
• Create engineering drawings, BOMs, and docs for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with electrical, software, and PM teams virtually.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability.
• Support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Research new materials and processes to enhance designs.
• Manage remote project timelines and deliverables.
• Stay updated on engineering trends.
