Zusammenfassung

RHI Magnesita is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Flow Control Engineering team. This role designs, improves and supports mechanical systems for demanding steel manufacturing environments, collaborating with customers, sales teams, field service and engineering colleagues.

You will develop designs for Flow Control and Slide Gate systems, create drawings and specifications, support trials and installations, and drive continuous improvement across product development.

Qualifikationen

• 1+ years in engineering, mechanical design, or related technical field.
• Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with 3D CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a collaborative environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Develop mechanical designs, drawings, and installation concepts for Flow Control and Slide Gate systems.
• Design and improve mechanical equipment and related system components.
• Create detailed documentation, drawings, and equipment specifications for projects.
• Support trials, conversions, upgrades, and installations.
• Coordinate engineering activities to ensure timely project completion.
• Evaluate customer processes to recommend effective engineering solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Field Service, and R&D teams.
• Provide technical support on product applications and system performance.
• Contribute to new technologies and product improvements.
