Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Mechanical Engineering AI Trainer for a remote hourly contract. You will design multi-step engineering challenges spanning FEA, heat transfer, and materials science to stress-test AI models, and author precise benchmark solutions that guide learning.

You will audit CAD and thermodynamics outputs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to engineering standards, and provide feedback to refine AI reasoning. Strong ME foundations and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• Strong foundational knowledge across core ME domains: solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, CAD/CAM, or manufacturing processes.
• Able to communicate complex physical concepts and mathematical reasoning clearly in written form.

Responsibilities

• Design Complex Engineering Problems — Create advanced, multi-step challenges across domains like FEA, heat transfer, kinematics, thermodynamics, and material science to stress-test AI performance.
• Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Develop precise, step-by-step technical solutions and benchmark responses that guide AI learning.
• Audit Technical Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated results including CAD logic, thermodynamic derivations, and material specifications for accuracy and standards.
• Refine AI Reasoning — Identify flaws in AI reasoning and deliver structured feedback to improve model performance.
