Job summary

CS Group USA is seeking a System and Software Engineer (MBSE / SysML) to develop next‑generation avionics and flight‑critical embedded software. You will model systems, implement in MATLAB/Simulink, and verify across DO-178C processes, supporting certification and safety analyses.

The role emphasizes strong collaboration with aerospace teams, requirements traceability, and participation in reviews and stakeholder meetings for certification objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Proven MATLAB/Simulink experience for embedded software development.
• Significant experience with CameoSystems Modeler.
• Experience integrating Simulink models on real-time embedded targets.
• Ability to translate system requirements into software specs.
• Background in systems engineering in aerospace or safety-critical domains.
• Experience performing safety analyses (FMEA/FTA/DFA).
• Familiarity with DO-178C certification environments.
• Knowledge of functional safety principles for embedded systems.
• Experience with DO-178C and related certification artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system models using SysML for architecture and traceability.
• Design and maintain embedded software using MATLAB/Simulink for avionics.
• Collaborate across teams to refine system and software requirements.
• Generate embedded code for target environments via model-based development.
• Perform unit and integration testing and software verification activities.
• Conduct safety analyses and identify mitigation strategies.
• Document software architecture, decisions, and verification results.
• Contribute to functional safety artifacts for DO-178C compliance.
• Participate in technical reviews and certification milestone meetings.
