Job summary

Aleron is seeking an Advanced Systems Engineer to join a remote, contract program supporting next-generation underwater defense systems. You will define, model, analyze, and validate complex system architectures for torpedo products, employing MBSE tools to capture requirements and guide the lifecycle from concept to production readiness.

The role emphasizes MBSE proficiency, strong systems engineering expertise, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Systems Engineering, MBSE, Digital Engineering or related disciplines (or 3+ with Master’s).
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, CS, Physics or related STEM field.
• 3+ years MBSE activities and experience with MBSE tools (Cameo/NoMagic).
• Experience in requirements management, traceability, and verification.
• Strong systems lifecycle understanding and security documentation exposure.

Responsibilities

• Develop MBSE artifacts and system models using MBSE methodologies.
• Capture problem-domain and solution-domain architectures for future products.
• Analyze and resolve design weaknesses and performance gaps.
• Develop system security documentation and support accreditation activities.
• Evaluate systems against government security requirements.
• Create technical engineering products across the system lifecycle.
• Support requirements development, decomposition, and validation.
• Define architectures, interfaces, and operational behaviors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for innovative solutions.
• Support verification, validation, testing, and production readiness.
