Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field with 3–6 years in math education
  • Master's degree in Education with 1–4 years in math education
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Education and Education Assessment
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to identify problems and conceptualize solutions
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative team player and effective communicator

Responsibilities

  • Uses state item specifications to write effective items for different projects
  • Independently conduct preliminary and content reviews
  • Attend, and may lead, CAC meetings, rubric validation meetings, and data review meetings
  • Work under the direction of a project's Content Lead to monitor the item pool development for a state
  • May lead item development for grade level or grade band, with supervision
  • Understand grade-level blueprints and how they translate into an item pool development plan
  • May have direct communication with clients, with supervision
