Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Material Planning Manager to lead planning and execution for defense programs. You will manage a team, drive demand and supply alignment, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure program success.

The role requires US citizenship and Secret clearance eligibility, with remote work near DC and occasional travel to Reston, VA and Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 5+ years experience in material planning or procurement.
2+ years leading or supervising teams or projects.
US Citizenship with ability to obtain Secret clearance.
Experience in government contracting or complex programs.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of material planners (~11 reports).
Oversee material planning to align with program schedules and production needs.
Set priorities, allocate workload, and ensure material requirements across programs.
Interface between Material Planning and PM, Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain leadership.
Resolve material and supply chain issues; escalate as needed for program performance.
Track, report, and provide visibility into demand, supply, and delivery status.
Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and procurement requirements.
Lead continuous improvement for planning processes, tools, data accuracy.
Support program reviews, audits, and customer engagements with status updates.
