Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Material Planner to support its Civilian Agency Solutions team, focusing on NASA IT programs. You will partner with program teams to generate material requirements and manage acquisition plans from start to finish, interfacing with vendors, logistics, receiving, materials management, and strategic sourcing to meet milestones.

You will coordinate forecasts, workloads, expediting, and priorities with commodity teams.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BA degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong MS Office knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication at all levels.
  • Must be located within 50 miles of a NASA Center and US citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Works with Program team to ensure procurement aligns with program needs.
  • Generates material requirements and supports acquisition plans end-to-end.
  • Coordinates forecasts, workload, expediting, and priorities with teams.
  • Advises programs on optimal sourcing routes to maximize program benefit.
  • Places orders using purchasing cards within defined thresholds.
  • Analyzes material requirements for supplier opportunities and planning.
  • Engages supply chain from vendor to manufacturing for acquisition strategy.
  • Manages delivery schedules and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Provides vendor coordination across hardware and software aspects.
