Job summary

The Benton IL client is seeking a Mastercam 5-axis Programmer to join its precision machining team. You will program, set up, and operate 5-axis CNC mills to produce high-accuracy components, interpreting complex drawings and GD&T from blueprints.

Work is fully remote with the requirement to be on-site for the first month; occasional meetings may be required thereafter. Ideal candidates have proven Mastercam 5-axis experience and a strong focus on lean manufacturing and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Mastercam 5-axis programming.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings.
• Expertise with precision measurement instruments, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of tooling setups, machining processes, and manufacturing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Mastercam 5 axis programming.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, GD&T, and technical drawings to produce high-precision parts.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and quality.
• Maintain understanding of tooling setups, geometry, and machine capabilities to maximize productivity.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes and reduce setup times.
• Troubleshoot machining issues to ensure continuous production flow.
