Recruiting For Less is seeking a Mastercam 5-axis Programmer for a Benton IL client in the rock drilling sector. The role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce precision components.

This fully remote position requires on-site presence for the first month and occasional meetings thereafter. You will interpret blueprints, GD&T, and use precision measuring tools, applying lean principles to optimize throughput and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Mastercam 5-axis programming.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
• Experience with precision measuring tools (bore gauges, micrometers, calipers).
• Strong knowledge of tooling setups and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Mastercam 5-axis programming.
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T to produce high-precision parts.
• Use bore gauges, micrometers, calipers to verify dimensions.
• Select tooling and manage machine capabilities to maximize productivity.
• Apply lean manufacturing to reduce setup times and improve workflow.
• Troubleshoot EDM, CNC lathes, or milling issues to maintain production flow.
