Job summary

Benton, IL client is seeking a skilled Mastercam 5-axis Programmer to join the manufacturing team. You will program, set up, and operate complex 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-precision parts, interpreting blueprints and GD&T to ensure tight tolerances.

Ideal candidates bring Mastercam 5-axis expertise, tooling knowledge, and a strong eye for precision measurement. Remote-friendly role with on-site first month and periodic meetings.

Qualifications

• Proven Mastercam 5-axis programming experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and GD&T.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection practices.
• Strong knowledge of tooling setups and machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Mastercam 5-axis programming and setup.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to produce precision components.
• Use bore gauges, micrometers, calipers to verify dimensions.
• Select tooling and optimize machining for productivity and quality.
• Apply lean principles to reduce setup time and waste.
• Troubleshoot EDM, CNC lathe and milling issues to maintain flow.
