Job summary

Blu Omega is seeking a Manual Tester to support VA initiatives. This role performs hands‑on manual testing across the software development lifecycle to ensure secure, reliable, and high‑quality applications for federal health and technology programs.

You will create test scripts, execute functional and regression tests, document defects with evidence, and collaborate with analysts, developers, and product owners in an Agile environment. Remote work options available with government credentials.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software quality assurance or testing experience.
• Hands‑on manual application testing experience.
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, system, end‑to‑end testing.
• Ability to validate requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Agile software development and defect tracking.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual test strategies, plans, cases, scripts, and documentation.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, end‑to‑end, and UAT testing.
• Validate functionality, interfaces, data, user roles, and workflows against requirements.
• Identify, document, triage, retest, and close defects with evidence and severity.
• Maintain traceability and test coverage across releases.
• Validate fixes and perform regression testing to prevent regressions.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Support UAT activities and maintain testing documentation for compliance and release.
