Equiti Group seeks qualified Video Medical Interpreters to work remotely from any U.S.-based location. You will facilitate clear, accurate communication between healthcare providers and LEP patients, serving as a professional conduit and cultural broker when needed.

Interpreters support both healthcare and educational settings via audio and video modalities. Key responsibilities include interpreting for hospitals nationwide, adjusting register for LEP patients, maintaining HIPAA confidentiality,

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of remote medical interpreting experience.
• 40+ hours of interpreter training (e.g., Bridging the Gap).
• Fluency in English and another language; medical/educational terminology bilingual.
• Knowledge of NCIHC Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

Responsabilités

• Interpret accurately for hospitals, clinics nationwide.
• Adjust register to ensure LEP patient understanding.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality at all times.
• Support clients with professional, courteous service.
• Act as a cultural broker when needed for clarity.
• Demonstrate professional presence during VRI sessions.
