Equiti is seeking qualified Video Medical Interpreters to work remotely from any U.S.-based location. You will facilitate clear communication between healthcare providers and LEP patients, serving as a cultural broker when needed and ensuring confidentiality under HIPAA.

Essential duties include interpreting accurately for hospitals nationwide, adjusting language register, and maintaining ongoing professional development.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in remote medical interpreting.
• 40+ hours of interpreter training (e.g., Bridging the Gap or equivalent).
• Medical interpretation certification preferred.
• Documented fluency in English and at least one other language.
• HIPAA/code of ethics awareness and patient confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Interpret accurately between source and target language for hospitals, clinics, and other facilities nationwide.
• Adjust register to ensure full comprehension for LEP patients.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and professional standards.
• Act as a cultural broker to clarify nuances or misunderstandings.
• Demonstrate camera awareness during VRI sessions with proper posture and voice.
• Maintain required certifications and pursue ongoing professional development.
• Adapt to changing technology, platforms, and protocols; work in a fast-paced team environment.
