Job summary

Ankura is seeking a Managing Director to lead and expand its Enterprise Data Platform capabilities for a USA remote-based role, ideally in the eastern time zone. The role blends technical vision, business development, client relationships, and delivery oversight across a portfolio of engagements.

The Managing Director will guide platform architecture, establish reference architectures and engineering standards, and develop reusable capabilities to deliver measurable business value for clients.

Qualifications

• Typically 12–15+ years of experience in data engineering, enterprise data architecture, analytics, or related technology consulting with senior leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience leading design and delivery of enterprise-grade cloud data platforms and large-scale data transformation programs.
• Demonstrated success managing and growing a significant book of consulting business across multiple clients.
• Established record of developing executive client relationships, originating opportunities, and converting those opportunities into successful engagements.
• Deep knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, governance, security, and cloud-platform principles.
• Strong experience with data/analytics platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, or comparable technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive sponsorship and delivery oversight across a portfolio of complex data-platform programs.
• Oversee engagements to ensure scope, staffing, governance, and client objectives.
• Guide data integration and orchestration strategies using Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Informatica, and related tools.
• Maintain accountability for delivery quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.
• Develop reusable accelerators, methodologies, and IP to improve delivery speed and value.
• Lead business development, including opportunity qualification, proposal development, and pricing.
