Job summary

Wild Animal Initiative seeks a Philanthropy Officer to raise funds from major donors by clearly communicating our work and its impact. You will manage a donor portfolio, track pipelines, and coordinate with the Executive Director to advance gifts that enable long‑term field‑building and research infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Raise money from major donors by making it easy to understand and invest in our work.
• Manage a portfolio of 50–100 donors and oversee donor relationships.
• Track pipeline stages, plan communications, and support the ED.
• Lead major gifts strategy alongside the ED and team; build donor resources.
• Work mostly remotely with occasional in-person opportunities for events.
