Job summary

Denver Rescue Mission seeks a Philanthropy Officer to build and expand relationships with donors, fostering knowledge, involvement, and financial gifts to support the Mission’s programs. You will manage major donor accounts, develop tailored plans, and lead engagement initiatives across teams.

The role requires 3 years in major gifts fundraising, strong communication, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within the Development team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3 years of major gifts fundraising experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and strategic thinker with data assessment abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of ~150 active major donor accounts with expected productivity and quality.
• Execute donor gift cycle actions: identification, qualification, engagement, cultivation, solicitation, closure, stewardship.
• Develop individual donor plans based on giving history and interests.
• Lead Young Professionals program to engage next-gen donors.
• Collaborate with program, finance, and communications to prepare compelling proposals for donors.
