Job summary

Leader Dogs for the Blind is seeking a motivated Manager of Personal Giving to cultivate and steward major donors in Texas. This remote role focuses on building connections, tailoring proposals, and advancing philanthropic opportunities to support the organization's mission.

Based in the Dallas Metro area, you will manage a portfolio of up to 150 major gift prospects, coordinate moves management, and collaborate with leadership to create compelling gift proposals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in nonprofit fundraising/major gifts or related field.
• Experience managing a portfolio of major gift prospects using moves management.
• Proven success securing five- and six-figure gifts.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% including overnight/out-of-state trips.
• Knowledge of major gift fundraising principles and ethics.
• Experience with multiple giving vehicles (cash, donor-advised funds, IRA distributions, securities).
• Proficient with donor databases/CRM and MS Office.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a personal portfolio of up to 150 Texas major gift prospects.
• Develop solicitation strategies and personalized proposals.
• Solicit major gifts and corporate partnerships; steward donors.
• Coordinate moves management to grow a robust major gifts pipeline.
• Provide timely stewardship updates and impact reports.
• Collaborate with leadership and program staff on fundraising plans.
• Travel as needed to meet donors and attend events.
