Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Mainframe Systems Programmer to plan, install, test and maintain VTAM, TCP/IP, FTP/SFTP and related mainframe network software for client environments.

The role requires 5+ years in mainframe networking, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and strong communication skills. Candidates should be self-motivated, able to multi-task under pressure, and capable of leading system programming projects while aligning with ITIL and Change Management practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ mainframe networking experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to prioritize and balance tasks, issues and concerns with self, team and clients.
• Experience developing, leading, and managing system programming projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, install, test, administer, maintain, update and implement mainframe network software (VTAM, TCP/IP, FTP, SFTP).
• Diagnose, resolve and document network-related problems.
• Adhere to ITIL, Change and Problem Management processes.
• Communicate effectively with software suppliers, peers, clients and Leadership.
• Maintain system availability and performance per service agreements.
• Monitor and report on system performance and reliability.
• Seek cost reductions and efficiency improvements in relevant tech environments.
