Job summary

Ensono seeks an experienced Mainframe Systems Programmer to plan, install, test, administer, maintain, and implement VTAM, TCPIP, FTP, SFTP and related mainframe software. The role involves diagnosing issues, documenting solutions, and supporting client mainframe network environments while participating in client discussions.

You will plan and execute changes, monitor performance, and ensure system availability per service agreements, with emphasis on automation and cost-effective methods.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' mainframe networking experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and balance issues with self, team and clients.
• Experience developing, leading, and managing system programming projects.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain mainframe network interfaces.
• Plan, test, administer, and update mainframe network software.
• Diagnose and resolve mainframe network problems.
• Adhere to ITIL, Change and Problem Management processes.
• Communicate with software suppliers, peers, clients and leadership.
• Monitor system performance and availability to meet service levels.
