Job summary

Create Music Group is seeking a highly motivated Legal Intern to join its M&A Legal Group for Fall 2026. The part-time, fully remote internship is designed for current graduate students and offers exposure to acquisitions, IP, and corporate compliance in the music industry.

You’ll work under the VP and Director of M&A Legal Affairs, assisting with asset purchase agreements, due diligence, and copyright registrations, while gaining hands-on experience across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in M&A, IP, and entertainment law.
• Excellent legal writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Detail-oriented, proactive and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and reviewing asset purchase agreements and related transactional documents.
• Conducting legal research and due diligence on potential targets.
• Assisting with copyright registrations and filings at the U.S. Copyright Office.
• Maintaining corporate records and ensuring ongoing compliance (filings, debt, entity records).
• Reviewing NDAs with prospective partners and counterparties.
• Organizing and tracking deal documents and legal correspondence.
• Collaborating with finance, operations, and A&R teams on transaction tasks.
• Providing administrative support to VP and Director of M&A Legal Affairs.
• Supporting additional tasks based on interest and availability.
