Job summary

Carson Wealth is seeking a Director of Mergers & Acquisitions to lead tuck-in acquisitions across Carson locations. You will evaluate opportunities, develop financial models, and manage diligence and onboarding of advisors, teams, and clients.

The role emphasizes cross-location collaboration, risk management, and a structured transaction process. Responsibilities include coordinating internal and external partners, negotiating terms, and ensuring a smooth integration with minimum disruption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, advisor recruiting, business development, financial services, wealth management, or a related field.
• Experience supporting or leading transactions through valuation, structuring, due diligence, negotiation, closing, and integration planning.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to synthesize financial, operational, and performance data into concise business cases, presentations, and decision frameworks.
• Strong project management skills, coordinating multiple stakeholders and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Transaction execution from opportunity handoff through closing and onboarding.
• Develop transaction plans, timelines, deliverables, and ensure clear responsibilities.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of advisor practices; develop financial models and deal structures.
• Lead due diligence with internal and external experts; review financial, operational, legal, compliance, and client data.
• Support or lead negotiations on valuation, structure, terms, and transition expectations.
• Coordinate closing requirements and onboarding plans for advisors, teams, clients, assets, and operations.
• Maintain records of active, inactive, and completed transactions; monitor progress and risks.
• Perform additional tasks as needed by leadership.
