Job summary

IU Health is seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join its statewide Pre-Triage team. This remote, telephone-based role supports established patients, leveraging nursing skills to assess concerns and guide care pathways.

You'll work Monday–Friday, 8:00AM–4:30PM, providing clinical guidance without bedside duties while contributing to access to high-quality care across Indiana's health system. A valid Indiana LPN license and BLS are required, with orientation provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Active LPN license in Indiana or NLC LPN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other life support may be needed per unit.
• Successful orientation completion is required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient concerns via telephone interactions.
• Identify issues needing escalation to RN Triage.
• Connect patients with appropriate providers and care teams.
• Support patients across the state in navigating care needs.
• Help improve access to timely, high-quality healthcare.
