Job summary

MedWatch is seeking a Case Manager Assistant to support the RN Case Manager from a home-office setting. You will assist with authorization of services, review treatment plans for medical necessity, and coordinate with providers, payers, patients, and family members under supervision.

The role requires a licensed practical nurse with full state licensure, plus strong computer skills and several years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with active, unrestricted license.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with case management processes.
• Minimum 5 years of varied clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Case Manager Assistant will perform case management functions under the direct supervision of the CM.
• Review medical data to update a case management plan and coordinate with providers, payers, patient and caregiver.
• Contact payer offices to understand benefit constraints impacting the plan of action.
• Coordinate with medical care providers and equipment vendors to verify medical necessity.
• Arrange care according to patient needs, physician orders and available benefits.
