Job summary

Prescient National is seeking a detail‑oriented Lost Time Claims Adjuster in Minnesota to manage and resolve workers’ compensation claims across Mid-West states. You will investigate claims, educate injured workers on processes, coordinate medical treatment, and collaborate with legal counsel and medical providers to drive successful outcomes.

You will review medical reports, attend hearings, process indemnity payments, and pursue subrogation where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be located in Minnesota and hold an active state license.
• Experience handling claims in MN, NE, SD, KS, IO.
• Minimum 5 years of insurance experience.
• 5+ years of workers compensation insurance experience preferred.
• Ability to operate independently and effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and organization skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review, examine, analyze and investigate workers' compensation claims.
• Adjust claims according to state statutes and regulations.
• Communicate with injured workers to educate on the claims process.
• Coordinate medical treatment for injured workers.
• Identify subrogation potential and pursue reimbursement.
• Liaise between injured workers, legal counsel and medical providers.
• Review medical reports and attend hearings, trials and claim reviews.
• Process indemnity payments and audit/approve charges.
• Manage litigation and settlements on a claim file.
• Maintain required licenses and certifications.
• Participate in meetings and special projects as needed.
