Job summary

Good Samaritan, a not-for-profit provider with over 100 years of housing and services for seniors, seeks an admissions coordinator in Minnesota. The role focuses on identifying potential admissions, processing requests, and coordinating insurance verifications, transportation, and prior authorizations to ensure a smooth move-in.

You'll work with discharge planners, families, and the inter-disciplinary team to promote services, comply with laws and policies, and document in CRM/EMR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders (discharge planners, families, and care teams).
• BLS certification or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Identify admissions opportunities and process new resident requests.
• Coordinate admission tasks, insurance verifications, and transportation as needed.
• Collaborate with facilities and referral sources to plan admissions and ensure compliance with policies.
• Enter data accurately into CRM and EMR and support the transition from referring facility to site.
