Job summary

GEODIS in Allison Park, PA is seeking a customer service specialist to handle orders, coordinate shipments, and maintain strong client relationships. You will work with teams to ensure accurate invoicing, timely delivery, and responsive communication with customers.

The role requires basic software skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced logistics environment. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months related experience and/or training.
• Experience with AS400 operating systems and warehouse management systems preferred.
• PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, customers, and co-workers.
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with customers by phone, email, or in person and receives orders or changes in service.
• Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints to designated departments for investigation.
• Processes and inputs all customer orders and receipts; runs stock reports to check product availability.
• Generates paperwork and information for customer work orders; posts inventory records.
• Coordinates special shipping requests with transportation departments and expedites orders as needed.
• Traces orders and notifies customers of activity, including shipping/tracing information.
• Ensures proper invoicing by verifying computer generated invoices.
• Maintains relationships with customers; responds to inquiries and complaints courteously.
• Reports customer feedback to management; notes signs of dissatisfaction.
• Acts as liaison between warehouse and customer regarding invoicing and credit changes.
