Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Local Government Affairs Manager to represent our technology with state and local governments from Texas. This remote role reporting to our Public Affairs team will help launch Zipline’s drone delivery service in new communities while maintaining strong relationships with officials across metros and states.

You will monitor policy proposals, coordinate site visits, and collaborate with land use and permitting teams to ensure regulatory alignment and operational continuity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years in government affairs at state/local level.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Ability to present complex technology clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with local government officials in Zipline's served cities.
• Serve as expert on local issues related to autonomous drone delivery.
• Collaborate with land use, permitting, and local approvals to ensure operational consistency.
• Coordinate and lead site visits and local events for government officials across multiple metros.
• Monitor local policy proposals and advise Zipline on engagement.
• Represent Zipline in public settings, including council meetings and conferences.
