Job summary

Au Pair International is seeking an Area Director to manage local clusters across the United States. You will help families and au pairs connect, supervise monthly cluster activities, and provide ongoing support to ensure quality childcare and cultural experiences.

As a local representative, you will conduct interviews, train host families and au pairs, and ensure compliance with Department of State regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven organizational and marketing skills.
• Ability to interview and screen families.
• Experience coordinating events and host family gatherings.
• Knowledge of cultural exchange industry is a plus.
• Own a computer and be proficient in basic operations.
• Experience with Adobe and Microsoft Office products recommended.

Responsibilities

• Supervise local clusters within the U.S. and report to API Headquarters in Boulder, CO.
• Organize monthly cluster meetings and yearly host family gatherings.
• Maintain monthly contact logs and support host families and au pairs with questions or problems.
• Ensure each au pair is familiar with local community and coursework.
• Conduct orientations and ensure compliance with US Department of State regulations.
• Provide year-round local support to matches and participants.
